MERIAU est ne Cholet. Dessinateur des son plus jeune age, il se fait remarquer a l ecole et passe beaucoup de temps en dehors des cours avec son professeur de dessin. Tres interresse par la peinture, il produit ses premieres toiles cartonnees a l age de 15 ans avec son premier coffret de peinture a l huile.  Apres un bref passage a l ecole des Beaux Arts, il se fera remarquer dans quelques expositions mais cet artiste reste discret. Influence par DALI, MAGRITTE et par les couleurs des tableaux de son oncle CAILLAUD D'ANGERS. Il travaille le detail et ses avant-projets sont de veritables oeuvres. Bien qu'il ne pense pas etre categorise, sa peinture est surrealiste et le fantastique onirique qui la compose nous permet de voyager devant chaque tableau. Son interet  pour les Pharaons de l'ancienne Egypte l'a pousse confectionner une serie de toile sur la vie de son Pharaon prefere Akhenaton.

MERIAU was born in Cholet . Artist as of his youth, it points out himself at the school and spends much time apart from the courses with his professor of drawing. Very interested by painting, it produces its first picture at the 16 years age with the box of painting which his parents offered to him. It will be pointed out in some exposures but this artist remains discrete. Influenced by DALI, MAGRITTE and per his oncle CAILLAUD D'ANGERS, it works the detail and its preliminary drafts are true works. Although he does not want to be categorized, its painting is surrealist and the fantastic dreamlike one which composes them makes it possible us to travel in front of each painting
